Our Chiropractors
Dr. John Roberts
Chiropractor I started studying chiropractic after seeing the impact chiropractic care had on my own family - my brother in returning to sports (when all other methods had failed), my dad on resolving his long-standing back pain (caused by years of scrummaging) and my mother eliminating severe migraines that were initially thought to be caused by a stroke (but were actually being caused by nerve irritation in her upper neck).
I graduated from University of Glamorgan in 2003 and have since taken courses in various parts of the world looking to bring cutting edge techniques and research to benefit the people in the community that I grew up. My main goal in practice over the next 10 years is to dispel the myth that health is something that comes out of a pill bottle and educate/empower our community to adopt a wellness approach that bolsters good health, achievement and an excellent quality of life throughout our families. Chiropractor Originating from Co. Mayo on the west coast of Ireland I moved to Wales to study Chiropractic. My first experience of chiropractic was as a teenager. I had persistent knee pain which cleared up almost immediately upon seeing the chiropractor in Ireland. I got to understand that chiropractic care is not a quick fix for pain, but a way to improve overall health by using the spine. This simple concept inspired me to become a chiropractor and I graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2003.
This is where I met my husband John and together we set up Lifetime Wellness Chiropractic Clinic in 2006. My passion for chiropractic has grown as I see first hand the changes it makes to peoples health. I have a particular interest in adjusting pregnant women and children to maintain spinal alignment as chiropractic care was an enormous help to me during my pregnancies. Family wellness is important to me and educating my clients that chiropractic care is a lifetime investment in your health, its a way of preventing long term problems and keeping your health at its optimum. Chiropractor I come from Donegal, Ireland and I was lucky to have experienced the chiropractic lifestyle at a young age. It allowed me to play sports more effectively and live healthier. I immediately loved the approach and philosophy to health and knew that I wanted to be a Chiropractor. After graduating with a Masters of Chiropractic degree from the Welsh institute of Chiropractic and completing a years clinic placement I moved to Treorchy to work with John, Agnes and the team at Lifetime Wellness Chiropractic Clinics.
My philosophy, as a chiropractor we improve function by removing any interference to the nervous system that controls every function in the body. At Lifetime Wellness Chiropractic Clinics we go a step further to help make changes to improve to what we eat, how we exercise and how we deal with stress. These are the keys to a healthy life. This is why over the past few years I have seen so many incredible changes to people's lives making them happier and healthier. It makes my work fun and why I am so happy to get up in the morning to see people. Likes: Playing piano and any competitive sport Dislike: Negativity |
