What to Expect
Many people don’t know what to expect when visiting or referring to a Chiropractor.
Much of the in-depth assessment is very similar to a medical doctor. Prior to any treatment each patient must undergo an Initial Assessment/consultation and a Report of Findings.
Initial Assessment/Consultation
Report of Findings
From this information we produce a diagnosis and develop a structured care plan with type of treatment and exercises recommended. This includes an estimated time for recovery and estimated treatment frequency and duration. The patient can then make a decision to undergo care or not. Written consent is obtained prior to beginning any treatment plan. Find out more...
Treatment
Chiropractors use a range of techniques from the best available evidence to repair and rehabilitate musculoskeletal problems and promote and motivate towards a healthy lifestyle.
Techniques used at Lifetime Wellness clinic
Techniques used will vary between patients to accommodate for children, sports people or the elderly.
Patient education
This is one of the most important components of care. We educate the patients to prevent a relapse and improve health. We do this on every treatment session and via our twice monthly health Eat Well, Move Well and Think Well talks.
Reassessments
Every 12 treatment session we reassess to determine the further care plan or if a referral is necessary.
